will conduct a free 4-hour training (includes lunch).
The focus will be on: Communication, Collaboration,
Conflict Management, and Diversity. This interactive training is designed to improve
connection-building, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
The Diversity Advantage: The Art of Inclusive CommunicationCourse Length: 4 Hours
Fun, yet thought-provoking exercises will help us understand how the unwritten
rules we live by are not always universal. Diversity in the fullest sense of the word
includes race and ethnicity, but also gender, sexual orientation, age, and lifestyle.
Recognition of the entitlement of some and the history of exclusion for
others will be touched on in a way that helps people move forward
with better understanding, together.
Participants have an opportunity to explore how they, as individuals, and in
community groups, can become more effective through inclusion.
Additionally, participants will look at how developing respectful
communication can help address and deflect difficult comments
that might be considered racist, sexist,or generally discriminatory.
